Christy Moore played the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic a couple of weeks ago, was amazing to see him play live after listening to his songs for the last 15 years or so. He played lots of my old favourites, and also some songs from his new album Burning Times.

I went to see Christy Moore play at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic on 22nd Oct, It was a fantastic night out. It was the first time I have seen Christy Moore play live after listening to his music for the last 15 years or so, excellent gig, only wish I had got the chance to see him play at Cambridge Folk Festival earlier in the year. Christy and Declan spoiled us with over two hours playing lots of my favourite songs.

Christy Moore has to be one of my all time favourites, great Irish singer songwriter, he played at the Liverpool Philharmonic on the Friday and Saturday night, giving a tremendous performance with Declan Sinnott.

He came on stage with Declan and gave a fantastic performance, keeping the audience spellbound with his songs and music, he played for over 2 hours without stopping for a break, and came back on stage for two encores, finishing with Burning Times, a song telling the history of how women were persecuted, for their beliefs.

I was fortunate enough to see him play on Saturday night, and to meet him for a few moments after the concert before he set of for Germany to play his next gig, what a lovely genuine person and a tremendous performer.
Many thanks Christy and Declan.
